I have both the MX4 and now the MX5. The MX5 has some amazing upgrades that I love. Of course the power is amazing, it will pull into a wheelie at any time in the power curve. A huge improvement is the throttle, the MX5 is smooth as silk where my MX4 always feels choppy, like it’s on or off all the time. The brakes are AMAZING… The suspension is also a massive upgrade and feels much more plush and progressive vs my MX4. The stock foot pegs are warp9 clones so no need to upgrade. Overall I am really happy with the purchase and love to ride this bike, get one!!!

Amazingly fun bike for the price. Everything about it is on point from the great riding suspension, powerful brakes and insane power in Hyper mode. The guys at Luna got this out to me and delivered quickly!

I have had this bike for a little over a week now and it has been wonderful. The throttle feels super smooth, and the upgraded brakes are a very nice feature especially given how much more power this bike has over the MX3/4 and the XXX. I can’t really think of anything bad to say about the bike. At this price point it is an amazing deal, especially compared to similarly powerful bike with aftermarket parts.

Have about 100 miles on the new Mx-5. It just does everything very well, Off-road, it’s a pleasure to rip the trails with. I’ve played on the streets some and it has more power than you need right out of the box. Range seems in line with most other bikes in this class, But will take the ever so slightly less run time, for the trades in robust build, braking, and power output. I swapped out the stock tires for the Tusk Ground wires, added a direct mount stem/lock, Luna Bars, A few little personalized items, The price point is amazing for what you get. Would cost you several thousand of $ in upgrades on the earlier platforms to reach the out of the box performance you get with the Mx-5

I have put over 300miles on it with out any issues. Upgraded to Tusk Ground wire tires. Otherwise run it stock on single track and some small motor cross tracks. Has handled everything I have thrown at it!!

This review is more so about this website than the MX5. The bike itself is amazing; I’m glad I waited to jump on the e-moto scene until the it rolled around. Brand new MX style rider here (and I have only been on downhill mountain bikes until now) but I was able to jump on and ride intuitively. The regen, the power, the upgraded brakes, all fantastic. The charger is excellent quality too. Trust me, you never want a cheap charger.
As you may know, there was a little supply chain snafu with the first few batches and Luna ended up receiving the wrong battery packs from their distributor. They were able to catch the problem, and re-route a new bike without me having to go through any trouble with Fedex freight! I did end up with a slight delay, but they absolutely made it right by me. Their upfront, clear communication with customers is what gives me an instant confidence boost in this website. You can tell they love the sport the same as we do.

I love this bike! I did a few upgrades to make it ride a bit more like a motorbike. Starting with the 21/18 wheels, Warp9 pegs, direct bar mount, and a few other things to round out the setup and stop the inherent rattling. This setup is quiet, rips the trails and turns heads at the same time. Great power, great battery range and so much fun I want to ride it every day!

I take this thing everywhere and absolutely love it! Only changes I’ve made so far are bigger pegs and riser bars because I’m 6’ 4”. But man this things RIPS! Best purchase I’ve made in a long time. It literally unlocks new parts of the world to explore! Couldn’t be happier!
